The family earns extra basket money through additional features. For example, we couldn't use the wellness area before moving into the room. The room was only available around 3 p.m. It's probably intentional that the rooms are only "ready" so late. What do you do on a bad weather day? You pay the additional fee and go to the wellness area.
Some of the dinner wasn't warmed up properly. For such a luxurious hotel, I expect fresh cooking. However, the food was already prepared and just warmed up when we arrived.
The waiters were helpful and friendly, hence the two stars. However, the owner family was not very motivated or friendly at reception. On the day of departure, the boss seemed very dismissive, according to the motto, the main thing is that the money was transferred.
We will not visit the hotel again, not worth the exorbitant price.
Since the "new" Dilly opened there has been a lot of unrest in the dining room at peak times, which is not pleasant.
I was here on a short vacation with my 3 year old daughter almost a week ago. We were here with the entire family last year (December 2022) and were very impressed. Unfortunately I can no longer confirm that! Because some things just went …
Mixed feelings: The new wellness area is nice, all other areas are old and don't invite you to relax. Eating from the buffet in the evening: Vegetarian options are in short supply, and vegan and healthy are out of the question. Service from the landlady was extremely strange. The check-in and check-out took far too long, Ms. Dilly constantly made inappropriate comments and the service in the restaurant was rather slow. Room was ok.
My 3 best friends and I spend a wellness weekend together every year. This year we chose the Dilly Resort. …
We definitely imagined this vacation to be different in every respect.
We can't often afford a family vacation for 1 week for over 5,000.- and when you see that there isn't much different on offer than for vacations that we've already had for around 1 to 2,000.-, then you feel like crying for a moment . The whole thing started when my daughter got really sick a week before the start of the vacation. Unfortunately, I didn't read the cancellation conditions very carefully in advance, but I just assume that if I buy cancellation insurance, they'll make sense should. Cancellation with 100% return is only possible 21 days before the start of the trip. Unfortunately, 21 days ago I didn't know that my daughter would be sick. When I asked whether 80% had to be paid if I canceled 3 days before with a doctor's confirmation, I only received a short answer: Yes, you have to pay 80%. No get well soon, we hope you can still come to us or something else. From this point on I started reading reviews about the hotel and was shocked why I didn't notice the bad reviews before I booked. We were then able to start our vacation knowing that we would spend the first 3 days in the room thanks to medical help. We just don't have the money to say we can waste such an expensive vacation.
When we arrived, the room was super big and clean (except for the windows and mirrors), I wanted to unpack in peace and turn on the TV for my daughter, less than 10 minutes after arriving we were back at the reception because the TV had probably been from the previous owner had taken a hit and he was only showing one page of images. We were told the TV would be replaced the same day...
It was replaced after a complaint email from me (my feeling told me it wouldn't be bad to have all this in writing) on the 3rd day, where I also complained about the broken hairdryer, the broken safe and the broken heater. As mentioned on the 3rd day, after we had mentioned at least once to reception every day what was broken. On day 7 of departure we still have a heater that doesn't work and a safe that doesn't close.
At the dining table you can hear people talking about the poor service in front of and behind you. You simply expect something different in this price and star class. However, some guests are treated to a completely different service, with the boss even personally bringing glasses of water and clearing the table. It's quite clear that they don't have anything negative to say, but you either have to be a very good wine drinker to leave a lot of money behind, or a public figure.
My daughter really liked the Kids Club, there's nothing negative to say about it except that the program often wasn't what was advertised, but there were still great things to do and play with. And the food always tasted good. You definitely don't have to starve here, even if you're a vegetarian, but I have to agree with other reviews that dirty dishes are the order of the day.
There is a service where you can order special pillows in your room for the duration of your vacation, we didn't see this pillow during the entire vacation either.
On the 5th day the senior boss came to our table briefly, out of the blue started the table paper with the day of arrival and day of departure at the top and then said to me how long will you be there??? I didn't understand it and I didn't have the words to ask what she meant. Anyway, it came across as really rude and weird.
Of course, when we checked out we put everything together and were told we could have canceled without any problems with a doctor's confirmation, which we definitely had. It's a shame that my email wasn't answered like this. The rest were rather laughed at.
I can't say anything about the rooms, we weren't there.
We had booked a weekend the week before Christmas, but it ultimately didn't happen because I got sick and couldn't go. We had to pay a processing fee, otherwise the cancellation was made, but of course only with a doctor confirming that we were unable to travel. No problem.
What I am VERY disappointed about is that it is a “children’s hotel” with the option of childcare. 2 weeks before arrival I called and asked for a call back in order to arrange or reserve a short stay (1-2 hours) for my daughter (< 1 year) this weekend. Number was written down, I didn't get a call back. In addition, I would have left a message on the IG account (which is actively used by the hotel!) about how childcare by Dilly staff would work. No Answer.
Same thing the week before. Again no call back.
What's that supposed to mean? Why don't I offer it? A more detailed description of how the process for reserving care hours, when exactly it is possible, etc. would be desirable. And of course just being called back. Very unfortunate. I have a voucher, but due to these bad experiences combined with the increasingly bad reviews this year, we will be selling the voucher.
Not a children's hotel! Sold as such, the new spa area and many wellness areas are closed to children. The children's pool is so deep that they cannot stand in it (8 years old). The rear children's pool seems cold, neglected & uncomfortable. No sign of relaxation. Not enough loungers there and you have to leave your bathing suits somewhere in the corner. We had an all-inclusive luxury board. Fruit and tea bar were promised. There was always no fruit and only black and green tea. So nothing for children. When we asked, we were treated in a derogatory manner. This treatment continued. When we checked in we were given the room card for an occupied room - it had all strange things in it!! Our things were moved to another room. We had paid extra for early checking in order to be able to be there "relaxed" before 3 p.m. But by the time we got through the long queues at check-in and the turbulence with our rooms, including long, winding paths, we were all done relaxing. We wanted to complain about this on the day of departure, whereupon we were personally rejected in a very rude and arrogant manner by the boss. Nothing was addressed. Please pay - continue. I would never go there again. Sorry, but for the price I felt really left out after I left. The only thing that's really great is the food buffet, although the allergy information you give at the beginning is only there to give you the feeling that you're being taken into consideration. But they don't. Wasted time filling this out. You have to ask at the restaurant anyway. Rooms for this price are the worst I have ever seen in this category. Controlling the radiator with a tablet, which was unfortunately broken, there was a cold draft coming from the windows and calling the reception didn't work in any case. I didn't want to queue anymore, so I slept with a fleece vest. There was no bed linen in the room for the child; at our request, an employee brought us a covered quilt. For the price you're sure to get something where you'll be treated kindly and you won't go home so disappointed afterwards.
